A Souvenir Of Shredded Wheat

The Trust has had some more fascinating material to add to its archive as a result of the ongoing 'Where Do You Think We Worked?' project.
This item is from a donor whose grandfather James Gray, in 1919, was invited to join the London office of the American Shredded Wheat company. At that time this cereal was not manufactured in this country and Mr Gray was one of a staff of three.
In 1923 the firm began the construction of its British factory at Welwyn Garden City.
