Listen To WGC Oral Histories

The Trust is continuing to build its archive of oral histories and other material relating to the history and development of Welwyn Garden City. From an initial idea from Trustee Dennis Lewis in 2009 the collection of memories of life in WGC now spans the three Heritage Lottery Fund projects 'Where Do You Think You Live?', 'Where Do You Think We Played?' and 'Where Do You Think We Worked?' with additional recordings from the QEII hospital project that ran in 2015. We are grateful to everyone who has contributed to this unique archive of personal memories capturing "life, work and play" in a garden city.
