Drop in to WGC Library on Sat 1st Feb!

The Trust will be at WGC Library on Saturday 1st Feb between 9am - 3pm as part of the 'Where Do You Think We Worked?' project.
The project is continuing to gather material relating to the different companies operating in the town from 1920-1960 but we do need help - so if you haven't already done so please do consider it.
Even if you could only offer us a one-off hour of your time that would make a real difference - though, of course, anything more you could offer would be eagerly accepted.
The help needed is varied - it could be going through the bound copies of the Welwyn Times held at WGC Library to search out any articles relating to a particular company; listening to some of the recorded but not yet transcribed memories to identify any mention of WGC industries (this could be done at home if you have access to a computer); online searches to track down companies who went through several changes of ownership to see if there are company archives we are unaware of; visiting Mill Green Museum or Hertfordshire Archives & Local Studies Collection in Hertford to research items in their collections.
Please do come along to the meeting room on the ground floor of WGC Library on Saturday and have a chat with us to find out how you can contribute - and see some of the material already collected on display. If you can't make it but would still like to help email us at:
