A unique donation for the Trust

In September 2016 Alyson, whose maternal and paternal grandparents lived in WGC, visited the town to take in some of the familiar haunts she knew as a child.

She brought a very special donation for the Trust - a watercolour signed and dated, Charles Paine '47, which had previously hung in her Granny's house in Valley Road. The picture is believed to be of Longcroft Lane housing and is titled 'Englishmen's Castles'.
