Donations arrive during exhibition

Fretherne House School 1928

As has happened with previous displays the Trust’s recent ‘Where Do You Think We Played?’ exhibition at Sainsbury’s has prompted further donations of material for the WGC Heritage Trust archive.

Some of the over 900 visitors brought along items when they visited the show; others offered to look out material that they or other members of the family might have at home.

By coincidence, having received a 1928 photograph of Fretherne House School staff and pupils on one day (see above), the following day another school photograph was brought in - this one dated October 1928 and labelled Handside Senior School (see below). Other donations included photos of a Devices Ltd Xmas party in full swing at Woodhall Community Centre and a 1919 plan showing the portions of the Panshanger Estate for sale by auction.
