This company manufactured and distributed bacon, of Danish and of local UK pork manufactured by the company in different parts of England. It was the company's English administrative headquarters that came to Welwyn Garden City in 1938 (at that time Denmark was supplying about 45% of Britain's bacon). During the war supplies ceased from Denmark when the Germans invaded, so the company turned instead to playing a leading role in organising and distributing Britain's bacon and other grocery products. Our thanks to Eric Balley for supplying this information.
